Helping Others through Prayer and Evangelism

HOPE is a community outreach ministry that strives to serve the Lord by helping those in need. The ministry meets physical needs by providing furniture and other household items with the desire that this will be the beginning of an ongoing relationship in which spiritual needs can be met as well – by praying with and for others, sharing the good news of Jesus, and ultimately building disciples.  

Our Mission Statement: The HOPE ministry exists to identify and meet short term immediate needs of people in the community in order to share the Gospel and have the opportunity to build a discipling relationship through prayer, mentoring, and fellowship.

Here are two ways to get involved:
  1. Volunteers are needed to help pick up and deliver furniture and household items.  Volunteers would not be needed for every delivery, but for periodic dates. If you have a pickup truck, that is a plus, but not a necessity! Please pray about this request, and if you are willing to be added to the HOPE pickup/delivery team, or need more information, please contact the church office at 815.232.6159.
  2. Gently used furniture items are also currently needed: Small kitchen tables & chairs, queen, full, or twin beds, small or tall chests/dressers. See full list of items below. If you are able to donate any of these items, please contact the church office. If you would like to donate items for the ministry, please complete the donation form HERE.  
  3. Volunteers for home visits. When we deliver furniture we meet with individuals and families for prayer and support. Join our amazing team of visitors who do so much to support people in need.
