Who? Middle School Students (6th - 8th grade)

When? Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings

SUNDAY MORNINGS from 8:45 - 9:45 am in the Chapel.
Sunday school will meet in the chapel and do a study in a harmony of the Gospels. Each Sunday, students can expect worship, community, Bible study and prayer.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS from 6:30 - 8 pm in the Chapel.
Core enjoys both large group and small group elements. Each week, students can expect teaching, worship, games, food and fellowship! Each night is designed with the middle school learning level in mind.

Q: What is the purpose of Core?
Core's purpose is to come alongside middle school students to show them the love of Jesus, encourage them to grow in their faith and relationships, and impact their world for God.

Q: What is the length of a Core night?
Core officially runs from 6:30 - 8 pm. However, we encourage parents to drop their students off at the Chapel door as early as 6 pm and kindly ask that all students are picked up by 8:30 pm.

Q: Is there food provided at Core?
We provide a snack, typically at the end of the night, and have two vending machines available just in case your student gets hungry.

Q: Are permission slips required?
Yes. We keep permission slips on file for the school year calendar (Aug-July). We keep the master copy on file and bring photocopies along with us on trips. This method makes it easier on parents so that they only have to only fill out one permission slip per student each year.

Q: Does Core take trips?
Yes! We love trips! Our current model is four large scale trips and events per year, which means one per season.

     1. Fall Retreat - This weekend getaway is designed to start the school year off right! We spend the weekend having a blast playing games, enjoying worship, lessons, s’mores around the bonfire, and bonding with other students and the Core leaders! A Core student can sign-up on a Core night and the cost through us is $90.

     2. Districts - This jam-packed weekend is incredible! We head to Green Bay, WI in early January to join with 4,000 other students. This weekend conference includes rallies with national-level speakers, worship bands, comedians, illusionists, rappers, and other awesome people, all with the mission of pointing teens towards Jesus using their talents. There are also break-out sessions with specific topics for students who want to get a little more our of their conference weekend!

     3. IMPACT - Our students have access to a middle school mission trip. Details will be available in a packet after January 1.
